PAY & DISPLAY (P&D) MACHINE

1. What is Pay and Display Machine?

A pay and display machine is a type of ticket machine used for regulating parking in urban areas or in car parks. It relies on a customer purchasing a ticket from a machine and displaying the ticket on the dashboard, windscreen or passenger window of the vehicle. Details included on a printed ticket are generally the machine identification, amount paid, time entered and expiry time.

 
2. How to Use Pay and Display Machine?

The machine will require the following steps:
• The user will have to go to the nearest ‘Pay & Display’ machine after parking their vehicle at any of the available parking lots
• Key in their car registration number(s) (excluding the alphabets);
• Insert coins as required according to the desired duration;
• The machine will produce a ticket which is to be displayed on the dashboard; make sure that the ticket can be clearly seen by enforcement.

 
3. How it works?

This is still the most widely used parking system is based on the simple idea of a customer parking, and buying and displaying a ticket, which is inspected by an attendant.

i. Customer parks and buys ticket from pay station
The ticket includes details of the location of the machine, fee paid, time entered and expiry time.

ii. Customer displays ticket in their vehicle (on the dashboard)
The length of stay can be extended by purchasing another ticket, if required.

 iii. Vehicles checked by onsite parking enforcement
Parking compound are issued for any infringements.

4. What is the parking rate?

Following are the parking rates according to local councils:

5. Why the rates are different from one council to another?

The rate was determined by the local council itself.

6. If the duration is still valid, can it be used in another parking area?

Yes, you may still use the ticket if the time is still valid.

7. If the duration is still valid, can it be used in other Selangor Councils’ parking apart from the council where the ticket is purchased from?

Yes, it still can be used as long as the duration is still valid.

8. Can I put the ticket at my car’s wiper?

You MUST put it on your dashboard only. Put it at the wiper might cause the ticket to be lost or blew by the wind and your car will be compounded since your vehicle does not display the parking ticket.

9. Am I going to be compounded if the duration at the parking ticket is expired?

Yes. You are going to be compounded. So, please make sure you will pay the charge according your desired duration of parking usage. Should the ticket is going to expire, you need to pay for a new parking ticket at the Pay and Display machine.

10. What if after I pay for the ticket and the ticket doesn’t came out, what should I do?

You need to call us at 03-5122 5889 to lodge a report. Make sure you give your details as required by our call center staff including :
• The machine number or location or road name
• Your car registration number
• Time of payment made
• The nature of the problem

11. What if the machine can’t be used or malfunction?

You have to go to another nearest machine to obtain the ticket and call us at 03-5122 5889 to lodge a report. Make sure you give your details as required by our call center staff.

MONTHLY PASS

1. What is Monthly Pass?

Monthly parking pass is an open-date parking pass that gives parking user a peace of mind in parking their vehicle. It is cost saving for those who are cost-minded because it saves their pocket up to 10% of normal use of parking meter. By using the pass, users are allowed to park in any on-street pay and display parking bay within the area of Council’s territory.

2. What are the prices for monthly passes?

Following are the prices (without 6% GST) for monthly passes acing to local councils:

5. Can I order monthly pass online?

Yes you can. You may do so from our website https://www.suasaefektif.com.my/monthly-pass-2/order-form/ or through our blog at http://suasaefektif.blogspot.com/p/order-monthly-pass.html . Delivery charges of RM1.00 per delivery will be charged.

6. If I order online, how long will I get my pass?

You must make an order within 5 working days before the desired starting pass date. The pass should reach you within 3 working days.

7. So, you will deliver the passes ordered?

Yes we will. You have to pay the delivery charges of RM1.00 per delivery.

8. Can I make the payment online?

Yes you can. Now, you may do so from our website https://www.suasaefektif.com.my/monthly-pass-2/. Click the buy online icon. Delivery charges of RM1.00 per delivery is already included in the price.

9. If I lost the monthly pass, can I get a new replacement?

Yes you can but it’s not free replacement. All you have to do is present the original receipt; a police report and a letter from the commissioner of oath indicate the loss of the pass. You have to pay for the new pass half of the price. The date of the pass will start from the date of replacement pass until the expiry date of original pass.

10. If I mistakenly gave the wrong car plate number, can I get a new replacement?

Yes you can. Provided you must return the monthly pass with the wrong car number and you only have to pay RM10.00 as an administration fees. Please make sure that you give the correct number of your vehicle before make any order.

11. Is the pass transferable?

No. The pass is NOT transferable. One pass is for one vehicle only

12. Can I get a parking compound even when I display the monthly pass on the windscreen?

To ensure you will not be compound, please make sure the monthly pass can be seen clearly and not been blocked by other stickers. We strongly advise you to put it on top of the road tax on the left side of the windscreen.

13. If I buy a new car, can I get replacement for the new monthly pass?

Yes you can. Provided you must return the previous car’s monthly pass and documents of vehicle ownership in order to get the new pass. You only have to pay RM10.00 as an administration fees.

PARKING COUPON (SHAH ALAM, SELAYANG, SEPANG AND KAJANG AREA)

1. What is Parking Coupon?

Coupon parking is a variation or an alternative to the pay and display parking method without the use of machines; instead, the motorist purchases a booklet of coupons in advance from the authorities or authorized agents.

2. How to use a parking coupon?

The motorist has to completely or scratch off panels on the date and time in which he/she leaves the vehicle. To use the coupon, you need to scratch the current date and time accordingly and then display the coupon on the dashboard. The coupon is valid to be used in the same council as long as the time period of the scratched coupon is still not expired.

3. Where can I get the coupon?

4. Can I use the coupon in the Pay & Display machine area?

Yes, you can.

5. If the duration of the coupon is still valid, can it be used in another parking area (In the same council)?

Yes, you may still use the coupon if the time is still valid.

6. Where should I put the coupon?

You have to display it on vehicle’s dashboard.

7. If I did not use the entire coupon, can I return it and get it refunded?

No, you cannot return the coupon once purchase and you cannot get any refund.

8. If the coupon is missing or being stolen, can I get a new replacement?

No, you will not get any replacement. Once purchase, the coupon is under purchaser’s responsibility.

RESIDENT PASS (FOR AMPANG & SELAYANG AREA ONLY)

1. What is Resident Pass?

While monthly parking pass can be used within the Pay and Display vicinity in each council, resident pass can only be used within the specific area only. The pass is an open-date passes and the price is slightly lower than monthly pass. The resident pass is given to permanent resident who staying in shop apartment. The resident must present the proof (a copy of latest Quick rent, a copy of TNB or Syabas Bill, a copy of IC and a copy of Vehicle Grant) of staying in the particular unit of apartment in order to obtain the pass.

2. Who can apply for resident passes?

Only the owner of the premise (the apartment only) can apply for the resident pass.

3. What documents are needed to apply for the resident pass?

The following are the documents needed when you are applying for resident pass:
a. A copy of latest Quick rent
b. A copy of TNB or Syabas Bill
c. A copy of IC
d. A copy of Vehicle Grant
All documents must contain the SAME NAME of owner; otherwise resident pass will not be issued to the applicant.

4. How many passes can I purchase per unit apartment?

Only one pass is allowed.

5. Where are the areas that the pass can be used?

Resident pass can ONLY be used at the specified area where the residents reside.

6. Where can I get the resident pass?

You can buy your resident pass according to your location as per below location and contact number:

7. What if I have two or more cars, all of which are under my name?

Only one pass is allowed per apartment.

8. If I lost the resident pass, can I get a new replacement?

Yes you can. All you have to do is present the original receipt. You have to pay for the new pass half of the price. The date of the pass will start from the date of replacement pass until the expiry date of original pass.

SMART SELANGOR PARKING APLICATION VS FLEXI PARKING APPLICATION

  • Do we have to install the Smart Selangor Parking application if we have already downloaded and use Flexi Parking application?

If you have the Flexi Parking, you may continue using it. Both smart Selangor Parking and Flexi Parking cover the same State Councils (PBT).

 

  • What is the difference between Flexi Parking and Smart Selangor Parking app?

No difference (Only in terms of logo). Both mobile parking applications can be used in Shah Alam, Kajang, Sepang, Selayang, Ampang Jaya and Petaling Jaya.

 

  • Can we use the same login id in Flexi Parking for Smart Selangor Parking once we have installed it?

Yes. All of the top up credit, history and record for parking and compound payment in Flexi Parking application and Smart Selangor Parking application will be linked together.

 

  • If we are using Flexi Parking application, can we transfer credit to the user of Smart Parking Selangor application and vice versa?

Yes, you can.

 

  • Will the enforcement be able to detect my parking payment if I use Smart Selangor Parking application?

Yes. Because Flexi Parking and Smart Selangor parking applications are sharing the same database.

 

  • Is there any additional function in Smart Selangor Parking application as compared to Flexi Parking?

No.

 

  • In future, if an additional function in Smart Selangor Parking is added, will this function appear in Flexi Parking?

Yes.

 

  • If other councils join into Smart Selangor Parking in the future, can we remain and maintain to use Flexi Parking application?

Yes.
